FAQ
-
Do you take commissions?
I do! I can do custom tiling, painting and design work.
-
Can you ship to me?
Absolutely. I moonlight as an art handler so I'm very careful when it comes to packing and shipping. Shipping within the US for medium sized pieces usually falls somewhere in the range of $10-25. International shipping costs vary greatly, but I will always do my best to get the lowest rate for the safest journey to you.

Art handler? Can you help me hang my piece?
If you are local to the Nashville area I'm happy to install your work. If not, I will do my best to guide you via e-mail. All framed pieces come with mounting hardware already installed :)

How does a commission work?
Send me a message using the contact form on this page with as much information as you can provide about what you're looking for. Your query can be anything from, "Make something cool and abstract and big to hang on this wall" to, "I want a 15" x 15" tile piece framed in oak, depicting a frog, a hog and a dog dressed up in suits having lunch by a river under a willow tree." Feel free to provide references using my work or anything else you think will help.
The amount of information you give me up front won't necessarily affect the price, but it will help to make sure you're happy with the result, which is my ultimate goal.
There are a lot of factors involved in pricing a commission. Having a general size, medium and content in mind will help me provide you with a quote. Overall, I want to make a piece for you, so I will always try to work within your budget.

I want to put a more traditional tile backsplash/counter/wall in my house/business. Can you accommodate projects requiring hundreds of tiles?
So far, no job has been too big or small. I have hand-glazed hundreds of tiles if the project has demanded it. I have many handmade tile pattern designs you can look at, but I also love designing new patterns to fit your specific project, for which I charge a design fee on top of materials and labor. I can also personally install your tile if you live within a reasonable distance from Nashville, TN.
